Madoromu Sake ware - 150ml
Since ancient times, tin has been used as sake vessels, as it was said that "water stored in a tin vessel will not spoil" and "the impurities in sake will be removed, making it taste better."
Tin was introduced to Japan from overseas about 1,300 years ago. Tin has a low melting point and is relatively easy to process, so it does not rust easily and is still a popular item today for use as plates and sake cups.
Tin has a strong ionic effect, which purifies water and makes drinks smooth and delicious. It also goes well with copper, which has good thermal conductivity, so copper products have long been coated with tin (tin plating).
Copper has excellent thermal conductivity, so you can feel the coolness of the sake with your fingers and lips the moment you pour it, allowing you to enjoy the deliciousness of the sake through its touch as well.
This sake vessel is made of copper, which has good thermal conductivity, and tin, which has a high ionic effect, and features illustrations that allow you to enjoy the seasons. The moment you pour the sake, the cold spreads throughout the vessel, and when the surface temperature of the vessel drops below 16℃ , the illustrations begin to change color.
* The color changes quickly due to its good thermal conductivity compared to sake vessels made from other materials.
Madoromu sakeware was created through a collaboration between the craftsmanship town of Tsubame and a pottery manufacturer in Gifu, and is sure to make your evening drink a special one. Cherry blossoms in spring, fireworks in summer ... How about enjoying a drink while feeling the season?
